I also recommend that you obtain a copy of What Your Third Grader Needs to Know (Revised Edition c2001) edited by E.D. Hirsch, Jr.  We will refer to and use this Core Knowledge resource regularly.  Having a copy at home will allow parents to reinforce what students are learning in school and be almost “as smart as a third grader.”  We are looking forward to a great year!
