1. Treasurer's Report - Amy Coleman Balance is currently $12,102.18. This amount is the result of the Fall Frolic, sweatshirt and directory sales. $9,000 of this amount is for computers to still be purchased.
2. PFA Report- Andrea Dayley Sweatshirts are being ordered again. There will be Hooded Pullovers and Full-Zip Hooded Sweatshirts. Mrs Fulcher provided a form to complete in one of her emails. This form and payment will need to be turned in by November 16th. Payment can be made to either secretary.
This is the last order that is scheduled at this time. Nicole Cope is in charge of the ordering of the sweatshirts. She has been working with the vendors. May have Communication Moms and Dads contact parents regarding the deadline.
3. Principal Report • Activity to the north of the modular’s. Big toy being placed. This will happen in the next couple of weeks. • A parent asked the status of the new school building and time frame. Mrs. Fulcher explained that Brandon provides updates at the board meetings. • Christmas Winter Showcase will be held on December 9th at CSI auditorium. Admission is $2.00 per person. There will be two shows, K-6 will be at 5:30pm and 7-11 will be at 7:00pm. Communication Moms and Dads will coordinate assistance needed for this event. A stamp will be used to indicate who has paid the entrance fee. • Primary playground equipment is going to be moved once the "big toy" is in place. • Snow Day needs to be scheduled for January and/or February. We will need to have two days, primary and secondary. • Mr. Krause will be returning full time.
4. Grade Level Representatives • K - LeAnn Sasser Coolins wasn't sure what she was to be reporting. Andie and Mrs. Fulcher explained that she relays needs from Mrs Ditlefsen. Mrs Fulcher is going to provide telephone numbers of those parents that she does not have numbers for. LeAnn indicated that she has nothing to report. Kristine Mallberg was not present. • 1st - Roxanne Brown or Heidi Barfuss was not present • 2nd - Lisa Maxwell and Jodi Mehta were present. Lisa indicated that she was having problems getting a hold of parents. Mrs Fulcher will provide updated telephone numbers of parents per grade for the grade representatives. Neither representative had anything to report • 3rd - Valerie Powell - 3rd grade is fantastic. Mrs Bizik and Mrs Hall are requesting refreshments for Singapore Math training on November 10. There will be three sessions starting at 6:00pm and going to 7:30pm. Parents could make treats for this event and earn volunteer hours. Kindergarten parents will bring cookies. Can drop the cookies off at the office anytime. 1 dozen cookies will be equal to 2 volunteer hours. Only 1 dozen per family. • Still collecting the box tops and labels. Can turn these items into there classrooms for grades K-6 and the container by the office for grades 7 -11. • 4th - Jessica Taylor and Julie Beus were present. Things are good. Mr Harding was asking for a video projector. Mrs Fulcher will work on this with him. • 5th - Beckie Wagoner was present. Everything is good with Mrs. Baird. No requests. • 6th - Julia Fustos was present. Mrs Barrutia is good and will email Julia if anything is needed. • 7th-8th-9th-10th and 11th • Michelle Chavez - Garbage Pickup is scheduled for November 14th. Children and/or Adult who will be involved need to watch a video and sign waiver form. Need to meet at 8:30am at the Grandview Grade in order to view this video. Michelle will type up an email for Mrs Fulcher to distribute to the upper grades. Everything is provided except water and work gloves. If the secondary students do not do this project, they will need to provide a written statement as to what community service they have completed. • Joelle and Christina would like a newsletter or calendar at a glance. They asked about Friday Folders for the primary grades, but not all the teachers want to do Friday Folders. Joelle will check with those teachers that are not using a blog to see if they need assistance or just do not want to use one to communicate. • Communication Moms and Dads are creating a quarterly calendar that they will send monthly. They will also work on incorporating a newsletter. They will try to incorporate a community corner that relates events in the community that pertains to Xavier. • Arts Moms and Dads - no one present.
5. Mrs Corpron • Need parents of older students to help with events from each grade. There are different events scheduled throughout the year. Mrs Corpron to be provided with a list of the parents that have signed up to help and the grade representatives.
