Xavier Charter School currently has 56 students receiving Title 1 services K-6. There are 9 secondary students identified for Title 1 services (services to begin 2nd semester). Eligibility is based on identifying those who are “failing, or most at risk of failing, to meet the state’s challenging student academic achievement standards on the basis of multiple, educationally related, objective criteria” (NCLB 1115).Title 1 Staff:
Mr. Pfiester – Federal Programs DirectorTitle 1 Committee. Any parent is eligible and should include 6-12 parents who serve throughout the year. Among other activities, the committee will review and revise:
1. The parent involvement policy
2. The student/parent/teacher compact
3. Establish how Title 1 Parent Involvement Funds will be allocated. For 2009-2010 we have $971.
4. Collaborate on strategies to remove barriers to parents in their efforts to improve their children’s academic achievement.
· Winter IRI testing is currently being administered. Results will be analyzed to determine student growth and need for Title 1 services.
